This is the blog for the Phoenix Mental Health Collective which is inspired by theicarusproject.net. During increasingly stressful economic, social, and political times, the collective aims to provide a safe space for discussion and resource sharing centered around mental wellness. This group promotes a radical perspective, but recognizes a variety of approaches in regards to individual experience. We believe that we should empower each other to take charge of our sanity. There are other maps of mental health other than the ones we are handed by families, schools, televisions, and doctors.

We meet every Sunday at 1:30 at Conspire Phoenix. Conspire is located at 901 N. 5th Street in Downtown Phoenix.

Also, this blog is open for all to contribute. If you would like to contribute please email your interest to haveyoulostyourmindPHX@gmail.com.

Call for Artists and Performers

The Mental Health Collective Presents

ArtSanity

A Group Show at Space 55 Theater and Gallery

Artists Wanted

The Mental Health Collective is looking for Artists to show work at Space 55 in March. We are organizing an art show around the topics of madness, sanity, insanity, and how we deal with these varying states of mind. The show will open on the First Friday in March. All mediums are welcome, as long as it will hang on the wall. Submissions are due by February 6th. Please call 480-221-3565 or email haveyoulostyourmindphx@gmail.com for drop off details. We will be honored to have your submissions, as each diverse perspective will help the show reach our goal of exploring the many sides of madness.

Performers Wanted

There will also be a performance event accompanying the show. All styles are welcome—music, dance, spoken work, performance art, and any way you can think of to explore how we deal with madness, moods, stress, and any state in between. Please call 480-221-3565 or email haveyoulostyourmindphx@gmail.com for details.
